No... not really. Having unrealistic expectations will defeat you pretty quickly. I've been realistic and hard working for the past 2 years and managed to rake in some $500 in passive income. It's very decent for the part of the world where I live in. Try out cashflow trainer (you can google it) and you can get a feel of how difficult it can be with real money (you won't have to pay anything).

I grew up in Soviet Union, so there was no good example around when I was a kid or a young person. When I got to the USA, I had a nagging feeling that I'm not handling my finances properly, but never quite gotten to learning the skills - until I started playing this game. Even though it has high variance and some unrealistic details, having a fun way to learn to use the balance sheet alone is worth it for me.

I've been playing Cashflow 101&202 for the past year and started to implement the principles in real life with decent success. Recently I've realized that there are websites out there where you can 'play' games similar to Cashflow for free without paying any money. The benefit of these games for me is that the money that these online games use is real money from real world. Obviously, the opportunity to play with real money is a huge benefit when learning this very important skill. If you would like to try it out go to www.magnuscash.com and look for a project named 'Cashflow trainer'. I believe it is still the most popular one on magnuscash.

I love the cashflow 101 egame. It is fun, and really shows you the advantages of limiting your spending while continuously working on building your assets and cashflow with multiple streams of income.

I wish they would update the game with more options and make stock picking harder (they give you the trading range so it is really easy to know if it is a good deal or not- as opposed to real life.)

But otherwise, I recommend it wholeheartedly.
