I'm baaccckkk!!! My doubled capital is back, thanks to SCSS which gapped down and gave me a 191% return on the trade alone! 6 trades and only 2 lost this time.
I'm kicking myself for selling ASH on the same day at 10% profit, what's worse was that it wasn't an exit signal according to the rules. If I had held on, it'd have given me an almost 100% return like TXT did. Check out the charts of ASH and note the candles from 1st till 14th November 2006. Sigh.
Balance after exit trades made in November: $4,913.52 (+41.84%). Click "read more" to see my trades.

Rambling of a fellow trader
Hello, have been reading your blog for a couple of months now. Find that this star trading system that you use seems rather effective, though the monthly drawdown can be rather significant. I guess this falls into the 'aggressive' style of options trading, which kinda suits me.
Ben here, 21 this yr, from Singapore. Have been trading Options using TOS for around 3months now with an avg size acct., with not much success. Currently using a mix of fundamentals/technical for my option trading (w/o any significant success), and I am open to learning new trading systems. Have read up about the star trading system a few weeks ago, and it interested me right away. It looks like a simple system, and in trading simplicity is the key. The results posted on MOE's website however, looks a little hard to believe.
YTD Profit
918.4%
Ave. Profit/Mth
79.25%
I notice that this figure was obtained by adding up the component %total of each trade, which i believe u will agree, is very inaccurate. Gaining 50% on a trade, then losing 40%, (assuming full account size is in the position) is not gaining 20% - its losing 10%. This being said, I am not flaming Jason for this misleading info, as he did not state his trade positions for each trade and method used to derive this figure. I am merely finding out more about this system before i make the decision whether to 'buy' this system as I feel this has potential. (or perhaps you could tutor me? :P)
That being said, hope you could get back to me with regards to this system (e-mail me) as its always good to get to know more option traders. Hear from u (i hope) soon!
Hi Ben :)
Hello Ben,
Thanks for visiting my website and it's awesome to see a person start so young. My friend who recommended me the star trading system was 19 years old when he started. I guess I have to work harder, it looks to me millionaires are getting younger. I'm 23 years old and my goal is to retire at 35 years old.
Well, first off, in star trading system, I think it'll be incorrect to assume we use full account size to make each trade since most systems don't encourage that. So if you base the year to date return on equal (or almost equal) trade size (1/4 or 1/3) the total returns shown on Jason's website is fairly accurate. However, I do agree with you that it's quite misleading. After all, it all comes down to the money we end up with at the end of the day.. that's why I prefer comparing the month-end balances on my blog hehe. Not that I wanna show it off, mind you... it's because I hate percentages. A salesman can boast that he had a 2000% increase in number of sales compared to previous month but in reality, he sold one the first month and sold 20 the next. heh.
I think you should go for the star trading system. Since you already know how to trade, the only thing left to know is how to trade systematically. The reason why I signed up with STS is that it's cheap (cheaper than the seminars offered in Malaysia) and that I have a friend as my testimonial. Furthermore, I'll introduce you to the other star trading buddies I usually talk with for each trades we make. It's easier to succeed if you have buddies having the same interest and doing the same thing.

Hi there!
I have been reading your blog, and have become very interested in the Star Trading System. I have been mailing with your teacher but i would like to have some input from one of his students - so if you have the time i would love to hear from you to hear about your experiences, and perhaos being hooked up with your trading pals too. :)
Best regards,
Henrik
Hi Henrik, What kind of
Hi Henrik,
What kind of information do you need? I'd be glad to have another trader in our clique :)
What tools & Charting Software do you use?
May I know what tools & Charting Software have you been using?
Rgds.
Hi Pipen, I use telechart
Hi Pipen, I use telechart 2007 only.
Hmmmmnnn... TeleChart
Telechart only? No special tools? I think it means that you used the standard procedure. Draw trendlines. Enter when see opportunity, use trailing stops, target sells at a specific price to keep loss at a minimal. Am I rite? But i am wondering what is this special/difference with the star trading system. I mean how can you detect stock which is about to make major move unless u subscribe to some kind of scan for stock service. Hmmmmmnn....
Well, I'm the absolute worst
Well, I'm the absolute worst when it comes to technical indicators among my friends. True range average? Exponential moving average? Trendlines? Wha?
Anyway, when you sign up for the star trading system, you go through a 1 month mentorship to learn what kind of signals are considered good or ideal. It comes with formulae which you input in the telechart software (http://www.worden.com), and I update the telechart software everyday. It gives me a bunch of stocks (maximum stocks shown around 20-30 each day) that fulfills the criterion.
From there onwards, I look at the stocks to see whether it passes the criterions which I've learnt from my one month mentorship, and trade them. It is not a stock service, but it does have one if you are interested.
I can't detect stocks which have major movement, big movements like this happen quite seldom. You'll also say bye-bye to your capital if it goes the other way. I guess the combined signals from the star trading system does a good job at selecting potential stocks which will perform - including the ones with big movement.
If you are interested, have a look at the star trading system here.
any maintanence fees
Hi:
I would like to know if there are any maintanence/service fees per month after taking the mentor program. I mean any Telechart or any other running fees?
Thanks and looking forward to joining the club.
sam
Hi Sam,
Hi Sam,
Yes, there is a fixed expense. It's the telechart subscription fee ($29/month), nothing else. :-)
P.S. You get first month free, so sign up for it. Maximize the usage of the 30 day trial for mentorship.
Are you for Real?
Hi, your blog is very interesting. Very informative. But is Star Trading System for real? Never seen it mentioned anywhere in major trading forums.
Thanks for visiting Josh.
