May 2007 Option Trades
The bad month continues… 
. I stopped trading in the middle of May to get a breather. I think if I were to get revenge on the market, my funds will probably get less. I figured it was my desperation to break the $5k mark that clouded my decision-making as well. I bought VMC based on Option Intelligence’s recommendation and seeing that it wasn’t doing well, I still held on as if some miracle will happen. Of course, that didn’t happen so I let it expire since it was way out of the money already (luckily I took only one contract).
Some of my other trader friends (who aren’t using star trading system) aren’t doing very well as well, this is so weird. I thought people should be making money when the market’s up, up, up.

Hi,
i would suggest at least USD30000 for trading and use both speculative and income trades.
Example is Master J STS and RTF system.

Not everyone has $30k to start with. Besides, Mr. J says the minimum is to start STS is around $2k.

It’s been very informative trading records, but where’s your June 07’s record?
Did you trade on that particular month? Or didn’t you use the STS system?
How do you find STS anyway?

I’ve looked into Options Intelligence recently… I’m thinking of signing up. Would you recommend the $1000 – is it money well spent? After all, the “strategy” is pretty much known. Week 3 get in on the 13 stocks, and allow expiration week hyperactivity to jack the price in your favor…
This isnt at quantitative approach by any means. This strategy also relies on netting out the losers by “diversifying” across the 13 choices.
Even with his recommendations – You should still enter the position, knowing your exit point ,(in profit and in loss). So this means setting your trailing stops to protect yourself. Using these, forces a positive skew to the outcome of your trades… so in theory even if you were 50-50% on your wins, the profits should be way higher than your losses. Are you using trailing stops, and/or stop losses on your positions?
Also, mixing strategies on your portfolio – is not a good idea. It muddies the clarity of your actions. I open a position with a limit-order, and follow up with a trailing stop to close me out, because I, a. know my entry point in-advance, b. know my exit point in advance and c. know my acceptable losses – in advance. I am my own worst enemy – trades I place should be on autopilot – taking my emotions (fear+greed) out of the equation.
Thats my .02 – but I’d love to hear more of your experience on the OI service… please let me know what you think of it. Is the 1K worth it just for access to the community?

Jandj, the Options Intelligence is exactly like what “Not Registered” (or e.) said. I wouldn’t recommend the service, it is not worth the $1k.

Yes, I’ve tried it. I wouldn’t recommend it. I have bad experience using their service.

I had it on stop 2.30 and it got filled.
